​Decision Fatigue. Analysis Paralysis.

So many words to describe something we all encounter every day — in our own lives, and in the lives of those we love and admire. Overthinking, yet non-committal.

A young gentleman we met recently used the phrase: "Days turn into weeks, and weeks into months, and months into years." It is such a simple thing to say, and we all know it to be true. Yet when you are faced — as he is — with the sudden loss of a loved one, you realise how precious time truly is. How vital it is to make a decision, and to follow through.

You may never know what lay behind the other door, whether the road not taken would have led to greener grass, or whether your sliding-door moment — à la Gwyneth Paltrow — might have taken you somewhere you never thought possible.

But do. Decide, and carry through on those decisions.

Because we do not regret what we did — only what we didn't.
