Do you still remember the bright-eyed bushy tailed look you had on your face just a few weeks ago? A few weeks ago, remember. When January started. And everyone around you told you that life is GOOD! That you had a lovely time away with friends and family, had that lovely year-end dinner and the celebrations with family and loved ones and the biiiiiig party over New-years. And that life is GOOOOOOD – and all your issues of the past will now be sorted and a new year brings opportunities and goal setting is so eaaaaaasy and yayyy you! Do you remember that? Gmmpf. As if the flip of a piece of paper is really the magical thing that will literally flip your life into something different and beautiful. And as if your inability to sort out all the problems and issues and things with the change of a number from 5 to 6, and 12 to 1, shouldn't reflect poorly on you. Surpriiiiise, life does not work like that. Going from here to there does not (yet) happen when you close your eyes and imagine yourself there. It happens one step at a time. One goal, one plan, one "re-calculating" at a time. March is not too late. It is not too late to re-evaluate the plans you had for this year, to set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant – (do what you want, not what the world is yelling about) – Time bound goals. Have a SMART plan, have a goal, be kind to yourself, you can do this! A calendar page is not the reason or the excuse for your plan working, or not. March is not too late.
